I have not check the hpop oil level. To do that you take that bolt out of the resivor. And do you just eye it to see if its at the top?
The engines oil was full and had no leaks.

Yup just take the plug out the top. The oil should be about a1/2-3/4" from the top.
I'd also put a gauge on the LPOP to see if for some reason it took a dump on you

If it isn't at those levels. Should I just add regular oil?
As for the lpop where is it located on the motor, and what type of gauge should I put on it?

If lower than that just fill it with 15-40 diesel oil
Get a 0-60psi oil pressure gauge from autozone and put it in the top of the HPOP reservoir.
When cranking does the oil pressure gauge on the dash move?

It took a really long time of cranking to move the gauge. It was pretty cold if that could possibly have something to do with it.

Just for fun, pull the fuel bowl heater plug on the side of the fuel bowl. When you are cranking are you reading any ICP pressure?
