I didn't get a chance to write down the exact codes. But there was an IDM failure, misfire in cylinder 3 and bad injector in cylinder 3. But hopefuly its trhowin the cylinder 3 code because of the idm failure a friend of mine has some spare idms were gonna see which one works out, and hopefuly fix this problem.
Update:
We swaped in a new IDM and tried it still CEL light and no start. And it is still throwing a cylinder 3 misfire and bad injector for cylinder 3.
I went to the parts store to buy a CPS and i have to wait for the shipping.
But i have some questions with injectors
If the new CPS doesnt do anything it just leaves the injector 3. Is it ok to just replace one injector? Even if it has a lot of miles?
Or should i just replace all of them with new ones?
I was also thinking that depending on the price if i could get some Stage 1s from rosewood to put in. would it be ok to run those stock like with a stock trubo and HPOP and fuel pump?
What is a VC?
I check all the harness, and theres no rips or tears in any of the lines i cleand all the connecters out aswell.
Its been cold lately so it hasnt wanted to start but when you get it to start it wont stay running.
Valve covers. He is saying to check the injector harnesses. And "cold" is a relative term. It's dipped into the 20s overnight the last couple days. Even not plugged in, the truck should start right up. Maybe run rough, but at those temps there's no reason for it not to start/hard start.
This is most likely a wiring issue , IDM issues are not intermittent,, Bad injectors are not intermittent ...Under valve cover harness can be intermittent, as well as a burned or loose connection ...
I'm getting the code po267. For injector 3 and misfire in cylinder 3. I've check all the harnesses. I've also swaped out 2 idms and it won't start just spuders. It started Monday. But we can get it to stay runnin.
AB1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs) P0261, P0264, P0267, P0270, P0273, P0276, P0279, P0282: CHECK FOR GROUND SHORT IN LOW SIDE CIRCUIT
DTCs below indicate a low side ground short in the circuit between the IDM and the injector. The following table lists the circuit to inspect while performing these pinpoint tests, based on the DTC retrieved during the KOEO On-Demand or Injector Electrical Self Tests.
Key off.
Disconnect injector valve cover connector at the suspect injector.
Measure resistance between suspect circuit of the engine harness connector and battery negative post.

LOOK AT THE WIRING ......
The IDM is most likely going into limp ...
Thanks for that, Ill look in checking the resistance for the injector harnesses tommarrow,
Thing is it doesnt want to start now with my IDM or the replacement, would the wire effect it where it wouldnt start?
Even if only 1 injector is down would that still casue a no start?
