Hi,
The dealer installed a rebuilt (?) Turbo on my 6.0 at 92,000 in late Nov. I immediatley heard a low rpm "howl" on accel and deceleration around 1400 rpm. They claim nothing wrong. Truck runs "ok", except for one quick test with travel trailer up the grapevine, havent pulled yet.
I'm on FTE reading possibly is exhaust from turbo leak. Where exactly is the Y-pipe and up pipe. Anyone have a pic?
Thanks
I had the same issue when my original turbo was replaced. The new howl drove me nuts trying to find it. I've since put 60,000 miles on it and kind of forgot about the noise, but it's still there. I did hear it on other trucks with a rebuilt turbo, so I wasn't too worried. I think I found that the noise is coming from the intake side of the turbo, but I gave up on troubleshooting.
