I posted this in the Excursion forum,and until I bought my ext cab didn't think I would be of use on here.
What I do is take 2-3" of black electrical tape and wrap around the catch on my back two doors. This takes away my door rattles for months. Once they start again I cut off the tape and reapply more. You don't need much or it will make the door very hard to open.
Hope some can use this. It works on my doors and the back window on my Ex.

Also check out the spot weld on the bottom of the rear door. It is usaully broke and a major rattle point.
