Talking Rattling Door MOD

To the couple of guys who had similar problem with their doors rattling...If your problem is not inside the door but the latch and we will call it post for descriptive purposes. My post was worn out, by which i say it no longer was as thick as it was new and the bushing i believe to be plastic or some urethane based product on the latch which wraps the post when u close the door, hence when the otherwise perfect door when shut, washboard and other similar terrain would rattle my door and drive me nuts so i have found a solution.
Its not all that mechanical of a MOD, im sure changing the latch and post would suffice but for those of you on a budget for such things like me. This will work...
Im an electrician so this came a little easier to me because of supply but anyway i took a role of common electrical tape, or any poly vinyl tape will work. Peel off about 6 inches and wrap it around the post where the grooves have been made on your post. For me mine wasnt that bad so like 3 full MILLs of tape is plenty but depending on how bad your doors rattle you may need more. Ensure that it makes a couple revolutions around the post so it wont come undone and your finished. Close the door and no more rattle. It may be a little stiff the first couple times you open and close the door but if it doesnt quit take some of the tape off and it should be fine.
When they begin to rattle again repeat the process. A quick fix and cheap good luck.

sounds like a continual headache. why not readjust the post a little farther back to let the door shut tight. they are adjustable. I've had to do this on several of my vehicles.
