While the engine was out it got a NEW oil pan that was sanded to bare metal then painted w 2 coats of POR15 and top coated w black engine paint. Next the rear main was replaced. The LPOP was also replaced. Drilled out the 3 broke off exhaust manifold bolt and helicoiled the holes. The EBPV in the turbo was removed along with the pedestal gutted. 8 Rebuilt injectors form Rosewood went in. 2 GPs replaced, harnesses and VCG checked. New GP relay. New Thermostat and neck. All the accessories removed and cleaned. Sandblasted and painted the accessory brackets. New up-pipes and gaskets installed along with them and the manifolds being sandblasted and paint with Eastwoods HI-tepm manifold paint. Drivers manifold was drilled and tapped for EGT probe. Exhaust pressure tube was cleaned along with the sensor. The block was given a coat of hi-temp black

FINALLY got my trans and t-case back from the shop. That costed me bout $2100 when All said and done. Went to bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel and found I had 2 stripped holes Drilled them all out and helicoiled them.

Put the trans on and t-case on and set it all back in the chassis today.

Next up is sandblast the cab and get that in the garage

Last night got the dash out. Today I stripped the rest of the cab and powerwashed it. If the weather holds out tomorrow, I will sandblast and HOPEFULLY POR15 the cab floor(inside and out) and around the windshield.

Got the cab all sandblasted and the bottom side painted in POR15.
Found some pinholes in the rockers, so I just ordered some new ones.

Picked up the New rockers from Ford today. Way cheaper than expected. Only $84 for the both of them.

Got them both cut off as well. Tomorrow i will spot blast the Inner rocker then POR it and the inside of the new rockers. I am debating weather to weld or bond the new ones on

Prepping the new rockers to go in. Shopvaced out all the rust and dirt that was built up inside the rocker, cab corner, kick panel area. Then wire brush on long drill in the cavities. Used my daubers from POR to get the POR15 ALL the way in. Taped off the spots I am going to bond the new rocker at. Also sanded to bare metal the new rockers and coated them with POR15, again taping off where they will get bonded. Gave the floor a coat of POR15 as well. Once that dries I will bond the New rockers on

Drivers Rocker Bonded in place. Have to wait for it to set up to unclamp and do the passenger side

This is up to date. I started on it in Sept? I am laid off again, so I have some more time to work on it again.

I just picked up the paint supplies yesterday to the tune of $360. I have decided to make it Dark Shadow Gray

I am northeast of Philly, so only a little over a hour from you. I'll be passing right by you on the way to Knoebels in May.

I was looking at a truck very similar this winter. Would make a great plow truck. Very nice write up.

Wow! It is so nice to see someone who recognizes "ALL of the details" in a full restoration. I can see that you look for problems and address them along the way... no short cuts here. You deserve HUGE REP'S for this restoration!

Well Done Sir!

I'm not sure what exactly to ask. Since I bought the truck I have been looking for a comparable truck for pricing, but have yet to find one.
I am thinking somewhere between 15-20k
