Hub question

OK, I have searched for an answer but still cant be positive. Took my hub off to replace the rotor and I found only one lock nut with a c shaped clip that stops the nut from backing off. I have auto hubs on a F350 4wd. All the info I found in the search's, talk about 2 nuts with a lock ring in between. Am I missing parts or is this correct for what I have? Pretty sure it is a D60. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That is correct. At least it is on my 50 with auto hubs, I'm thinking they are the same. That clip has a "tang" on it that slips into the nut right?

Yup, that is what keeps the nut from backing off. So do I have a 50 or 60? How do you tell the diff?

60 is a solid axle. You have a 60 in the 350. 250's came with 50's which are not a solid axle.

The OEM Ford hubs were built by Warn. Figure #2 in the following link shows the auto hubs that were on the D60

Got it, kinda thought the 50 was not a solid but wanted to make sure. This is the newest year ford I have ever owned. All my others were pre 79. Sometimes I really miss them years, could fix anything without even thinking. Now I am starting over on the learning curve, but I sure love them diesels, so guess I will keep learning and askin questions. Thanks a bunch, gonna pack some bearings and start puttin it back together. Who needs sleep anyway, right?
