I've heard of folks using the seatbelt latches to secure tailgates but have never seen it "in action". Nice job. Now if you could only find a blue oval insert to cover up the GM logo...

It's like deja vu all over again......Quite a few of us have now used the seat belts for latches.

Looks like it worked out good. Much better with a tailgate!

Very nice. You're going to excite Bobby with that budweiser box in the back.

Did someone say Budweiser???

I'm always ready for a frosty beverage

Nice work on the tailgate. I really like the factory style cables.

Hey David,
I like it - I've got the same rhinoliner on the inside of my bed.
It's nice not to have to worry about denting or scratching anything.
I haven't gone through the license plate process yet though I'm close.

Your truck looks great!

I used the jump seat belt clasp from a Ford Ranger. It sure holds the tailgate tight. I had to make an "O.S." key to open the tailgate if, when, the electric solenoid doesn't work on my Tonneau cover.

So just pick up a Ford seat belt latch. One of the few things that I've put on my truck that was Ford. There's a bunch of this style in the salvage yards and they seem to withstand weather very well.
