Is your 97 a Cali model...is there a "UFO" (about 3-4" black disc with "Bosch" on it) on the pump that kinda sits under the turbo?

I will have to check on that... Of course here in GA we are under a lot of rain at the moment.
If you want a detailed write up on fuel bowl removal, read my thread "SD HPOP install part 1". It's for a HPOP install, but I went bolt by bolt in it, and removal of the fuel bowl is the first and last thing in the write up. My guess is the pressure line off the pump is cracked. They get old and brittle. Hope that helps.
