Won't need to do the 3G alternator swap, or Mark VIII electric fan on this one! That's why my old 74 F100 and the 87 Ranger were so much fun. I can't leave stuff alone and it's an obsession to change things. But I left my 2005 F250 alone and it went 170,000+ miles trouble free.
That might say something. If it ain't broke........... yadda yadda yadda
I'll have to see what's going on next Spring. My dad has been unloading some of his old cars (Sold a 50 Ford and a 57 T-Bird) but still has his land yacht 1973 Thunderbird, a 56 Ford and a 1986 Jeep CJ7 (bought new in 1985) so there might be hope the two of us will go in on a 50s Ford F100 or 67-79 F-Series street truck.
But damn the Diesel withdrawl was agonizing!!! OMG!
We refinanced the house and our car is paid off. The wife gave to go ahead and I didn't waste one second finding a truck.
I could have kept the Ranger as a play truck, but I figured somebody else could enjoy it more. A father bought it for his 18 year old, he was pretty stoked.
