Ok completely random: do you think that laundry detergent companies take into account for the liquid that sticks to the cup when they make the size of the cup?
I figured since this is my thread and there's a bunch of members already watching it, I'd post my current issue with my truck here. My truck has been popping or slightly backfiring through the carb when I press the gas pedal quickly from an idle. It will either stall afterwards or run ruff until you give it some throttle to smooth-en back out. These are what the #1 and #8 spark plugs look like, rich?
I haven't run it since thursday, but i think they were a little wet around the threads. I don't think I'm burning oil it's got good compression in all cylinders. There's a light coating of black soot in the tailpipes too which I read meant it was rich. The plugs are black as well in case the picture doesn't show it good enough. I need to know what to do though, down jet?
I'd adjust air/fuel mixture before rejetting. If it takes more than 2 turns in then set the screw back to where you had it and drop a jet size and so on till you get it right. Dont go too lean that will hurt more than help. A way to tell if you are too lean is get on a straight road and get going and go WOT then slowly let off. If you pick up speed your too lean.
