So WE3, you used modified B codes and the tapered block on the rear? Is that the reason for the dramatic amount of lift you got?
Modded B's, tapered block AND the cut down anti-wap bar...it's in the description...
"B Codes on the rear have the typical mod using the two shortest leaves and the thicker spacers from the stock EX packs. I also have a cut down section of the stock "slapper bar" under the bottom thick B overload plate and the F-350 3.75" tapered blocks."
i am lost could u tell me all that you did. i have staied out of these post because i was intrested. how to do and how much and is it worth it.!!!!
thanks
In the photo captions I described what I did with both the front X codes (Added extra leaf from the new rears) and the rear B codes (Typical mod, spacers and bottom two EX leaves + splapper bar + 3.75 F-350 block).
As far as how to do, search V/B mods in this forum, lots to read, not too bad of a job with some help though.
My "How much?" came to grand total of about $75. A co-worker gave me his X/B 20k take-offs as well as the rancho shocks. All I had to buy was new U-bolts and 4 new center bolts. I lengthened my rear sway bar end links with stock I had on hand.
"Was it worth it?" For me, you betcha!
Usually, modded B codes equates to using the Excursion bloack correct?
Yes, if you put V's or other springs with 6" of arc (unloaded), most put the Modded Bs with the stock blocks. He had to add some height (anti wrap bar) and taller blocks to get some additional height to get the rake he wanted.
