I am looking at a CL find and need a little help. It turns out we have a mutual friend and the guy wants to pretty much give me the springs.
What is a fair price for the springs? I don't want to cheat him.

Got some more info today.
- The guy said $100 for them. I said I would give him $100 if they were snowplow springs (X Codes) and we would have to negotiate if they were heavier than mine, but not X codes.
- The dealer in Elkhorn, WI said, "we have no way of knowing what they are with the p/n."
- The dealer in Clinton, WI said "the computer says they are W codes." He did sound a little annoyed, but he always does. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TOM PECK FORD IN CLINTON, WI!!!
- BUT, the guy read his door code and it says 5200 GAWR. That would make them V codes. IIRC it is a 01 F-350 CC.
- My door says I have U codes. This would make them a 4800 spring.
The big one!
Is it worth going up one/two sizes in springs for less than $100 or should I just spend the $300 for x codes? BTW, I will be running a Western 8' steel plow.
