Help with spring codes

I have an opportunity to buy a slightly used set of springs, but I need help determining the spring codes. Front codes on the springs (RPN0273) and 2C34ABB. Rear codes on the springs (RPN0693) and 3C34CA.

Can anyone verify what code springs these are? Also, if they are not V code, can anyone verify if they would be a good replacement for the Excursions old sagging springs. Thanks

I remembered that my neighbor works in the Ford Parts Dept. He verified that the codes are for T (front) and P (rear) springs.

I'm going to go ahead and get the springs this weekend. Can't beat the price to get rid of the sagging Excursion springs.

Never heard of T code or P code springs.

What year truck are they off of?

It's a 2003 5.4L Supercab. The truck has been sold, so the seller doesn't have the VIN code or the spring codes off the door. He just pulled the stamped codes off the springs.

I assumed my neighbor was able to get the correct spring codes based on the stamped codes I provided. I would really like to know if these springs will work before I buy them. I'm totally guessing that they would at least be a good replacement for the sagging springs that I have now. The price is definitely right.

Again, if anyone can help with the spring codes, I would be very appreciative.

Sorry. Never heard of T code or P code springs. And I've never heard of anyone using them on an Excursion.

These came off of a SuperDuty rig, right? 250 or 350?

S, T, U, V, W, and X codes for the front and B codes for the rear are all I've heard of. Not that I know of every spring that will fit, but those are the only one's that I've read about.

F250/350 SD

Standard.....................S-code / 4000lb rated capacity
Camper/SP/Off Road......T-code / 4400lb rated capacity
Camper/SP/Off Road......U-code / 4800lb rated capacity
Camper/SP/Off Road......V-code / 5200lb rated capacity

Sorry bro.

Maybe I misunderstood him and he actually said B instead of P. Thanks for the info.

They were on a F250 2003 5.4l FX4 Supercab

Reps given for all the info and help. Thanks

Thanks for the reps. Sorry I wasn't more help.

These are leaf springs, right? Not coil springs off of a 2-wheel drive?

I know you stated it was an FX4 trim truck, but I gotta ask.

It is a 4X4 with front leaf springs. I'll confirm tomorrow when I go pick them up. I won't be putting them on until the first week in April. I'll try to post measurements when its done, unless I hear before April that T springs are not a good idea

Ok, I'm an idiot.

I've been concentrating so much on the "P" you posted, the "T" went right over my head. It didn't even click, not even AFTER I posted the spring capacity for all those springs, INCLUDING THE T's!!!!!!

I have tunnel thinking so bad sometimes I can't see the tree right in front of me because I'm looking for the forest!

Sorry man! Yes, I've heard of the T's, but not the P's. And since they came off of a truck with a 5.4, it makes sense.

What engine do you have in your Ex? If you have a PSD or the V10, I'd hold out for some V's.

No worries, I've had to "edit" almost every post I've done recently because I forget something.

I'll take your advice and hold out for some V codes (or maybe X) since I have a V10. I got a response from my craiglist posting from someone that recommended checking with the local offroad shops.

I appreciate your input. I just needed someone to give some advice, since I'm depending on this forum for all the experience, knowledge and opinons that the users have.

So far, based on what I've learned from this forum, I've removed the roof rails, replaced the front cupholder with a later model (deeper cup holder), added the rear sway bar, put on the longer wipers, added 295/75/16 Nittos, 16X8 cragar steel wheels (black), a black 2009 Superduty rear bumper, added/modified an 05 black (plastic) grille and I've grinded the shine off my chrome front bumper and painted it flat black.

Next chapter in the quest to update my springs

I've found a set of V/B code springs and shocks for sale for $250. They have 80,000 miles on them.

Looking for advice from anyone with experience that would recommend this as a good deal, too expensive or just too many miles.

Thanks for any advice. If this isn't a good deal, I think I'm going to go the route of the the procomp 22210 front springs and then determine if I want to use springs or blocks to lift the rear.
