79 F150 REAR LIGHT PROBLEMS
First off I am dealing with a 79 F150 flareside. When i bought the truck the brakes worked on when when the light switch was off and only on the right side. Tried replacing the light switch because the dash lights weren't working anyways. Didn't help with the rear lights though. Over time i had no brake lights but this didnt happen until a long time after I replaced light switch. Now the brake lights dont work at all light switch on or off. Tried replacing the brake light switch with no results. Yesterday was the first time i have ever had 1 of the reverse lights come on but that only happened once. I have read that the tss can cause a whole lot of problems any opinions? I have also tried replacing bulbs and fuses.
Any help would be great!

we have the EXACT same problem.... to the T... except you are a step ahead of me. i haven't gotten a new headlight switch.
Did that fix your interior/dash lights? mine are out

As do I... the guy my grandpops had working on the truck must have had it in mind to mess with me. there are wires everywhere (including under the hood) that hook up to nothing.

Yes i did regain my dashlights after replacing the headlight switch. But i had to replace the separate fuse for the instrument cluster as well cause it shorted after it started working. So i took out the cluster and started cleaning all the contacts to the circuit board. Now i have most of it lit up. While i had it off i discovered that the left hand side of the ciruit is burnt so it will not light up.
