its been a lot of work and it seems like it want to nickel and dime me to death but i love it. when i first bought it it was stock and it had sat next to a building that burnt down. i didnt run at all i had to take the two barrel intake and replace it with a four. it ran great. a little while later i went to replace the rear main seal and found i had two broken piston skirts. so out came the motor. i rebuilt it .030 over ported and polished the head mild cam. while that was being done i started on the body. i shaved the handles and bed posts. installed a four inch suspension lift with a 2 inch body left to go yet. i wanna fit 39s. once the body was done i started to re-assemble the motor. and stuffed it back in. i drove it for about 20 miles and then shelled the tranny. and thats where is sits till tomorrow when i put a new one in

Reason: bad spacing
Say, can you do us fellow FTE'ers and type in a return before your last pic? It's a PITA to scroll over and paragraphs get extended over. Thanks.
Looks like a PO did a black out treatment to the roof and side marker lights. Nice bumper. 39s? What gears ya gonna be running? At least 4.11s but 4.56s would be better IMO.
Whoa... FYI - the PO or someone updated the grill with a 78 version.
I did the blacked out treatment to the lights and switched the grill I like the one piece better. I am not sure what gears are in it stock I'm guessing but it'll get up and go without any trouble. I get in by a push button popper kit I bought kinda a pain to wire in but works good it has a key fob that will work too. At least I don't have to worry about locking the doors
That is one slick looking ride dude. You make the bumper yourself? And something I've always wondered about shaved door handles, what happens if you've got a dead battery?
yeah i couldnt find a bumper that i like for a decent price. a buddy of mine works at a fab shop so we made it. only cost 107 i think for the steel. and its pry a little over kill but i live in iowa and i didnt wanna deer ruining my day. its made out of 3/16 steel. and there is an emergency cable for the door. The paint is just a blend of rustoleum that i thought looked good. I also add some single stage hardener to it. I picked rustoleum do to the fact i like to play in the mud a little bit and its cheaper to touch up. its a truck not a trailer queen im gonna use it.
That is a very nice truck. I love to see when people take old fords and breath new life into them. Your a lucky guy with a great truck keep us up to date
