head lights work, brake light doesn't

Getting the truck ready. Replaced the light switch on my 48 ford. Headlights and parking lights work, brake light doesn't. Going to get a new stop light switch but I wonder what wiring screw up I may have done.

Anyone have this problem before?

Do your rear tail lights come on with the headlights, or are they out too? If they are out also, check your grounds. If it is only brake lights that don't come on, it will probably be the brake light switch. Tail and brake lights both ground through the bed to the frame.

Only brake lights don't come one

Only brake lights, I'll swap out the switch and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

For future reference take the two wires off the switch put a peice of wire between the two and see if the lights work. If they work the switch is bad if they don't work keep looking.
