Just weird past 2 days have been snowing and like 14 degrees. then today it was around 30 and did it. but aslong as it doesnt hurt anything. If she wants to heat up quicker doesnt matter to me.

Mine only seems to do it when the temps are really cold (20 degrees or below). And it doesn't idle really high, it just idles at say 750 RPM instead of the 550 or whatever that it usually idles at. I'm not going to rule out the possibility that it may just be an HPO issue or something on my truck either. It romps a little at startup when it's really cold outside and then smooths out after it has been running a few seconds. It doesn't really bother me so I haven't messed with it. It didn't do that before the engine swap though so I don't know....
Oh, and if anybody wants one to try, I have a 203* deiselsite thermostat that I will let go cheap. Had it in the '96 motor and couldn't use it in the '95 motor I swapped into the truck (long vs short stem thermostat). I really liked it. It seemed to warm the engine up quicker in the cold. Only used it for maybe 5,000 miles. It would have to go into a '96 or '97 truck. Send me a PM if someone is interested.
