Reps are points given to someone who you feel provided good info/advice. You can give someone rep by clicking the little heart icon on their post in the upper right corner. Then you can type why you felt they deserved it or just leave it blank.

You can also choose to give negative rep if you felt they were mean/rude. Click on the heart and choose negative rep. The person can see who gave them rep on their CP screen.
