Side question... what paint code or color did you go with on thathe truck? Looks real clean!

I would stick with black. It would look awkward with that chrome piece around there. Body color/chrome/body color.

I know this is an old thread but, this topic is exactly where I am at the moment. The local windshield place (Thad Zeigler) seems to think they can get replacement stuff in black but not actually verified.

I have my moldings off the truck. They aren't bent or dinged up but acid rain or whatever it is has worked it over pretty well so it no longer has a smooth, even, shiny surface. I'd like to give it a makeover before putting it back on. I thought I might acid etch it (since apparently that's been Mother Nature's plan all along) but I'm leaning toward soda blasting it and then painting it. Might even look nice masking it off with a design and then some blasting it but I'm afraid that would be gilding the lily.
