Nice. I would not have thought of using the SOS pad but will try it now. I have the wide bump trim and plan on cleaning/painting it soon when I send the truck out to be painted. I'm assuming that all the trim is stainless? Thanks
KOT390 no the trim around the windshield and the back glass if your truck has it is stainless .the trim that runs down the side of the truck as well as the grill and any trim you might have on the tailgate will be alum.
mrpotatohead did you use any kind of alum. polish after the sos pad.?or did it give that shine just using the pad.? i have read on here somewhere that you can use easy-off to strip off the coating then you can polish it.

I actually bought a Harbor Freight buffer but quickly learned that the SOS pad with the soap did a better and more effective job. This shine was obtained with only using the SOS pads.
That looks nice! ... The aluminum side trim and grille is anodized. If your trim is in real pitted shape you gotta have the coating acid dunked to remove the coating to get it to bare metal to work with. That's what my polisher had me do before I he did my grille. I tried a bunch of stuff trying to shine mine up back in the day but nothing would touch that hard coating. I used black vinyl pinstriping tape for my trim stripes.
