So I have a 2001 F250 V10 Gas truck. The first problem which isn't really a problem but anyway. When I shift from Reverse to Drive the trans makes a much louder than normal thud when going into drive. Any ideas what could be cause this? It only makes the noise going into drive, and I think only Reverse to Drive.
Second problem at around 35-45mph I get a wierd vibration. Feels like its coming from the back end. Once I get over 40-45mph the vibration is gone. Any Ideas?
what about the vibration any idea what could be causing that?
I haven't had time to make the repair but now when I'm coasting and get back on the gas it makes a clunk as well.. Is this the slip joint as well?

Do the slip joint then go from there. I think the slip joint is the problem.
FIXED!
Those four bolts gave me real problems to remove them....They were almost rounded! However, my friend finally got them and while taking it all off replaced the u-joint. Runs like new now. Thanks guys!
