Question Vibration accelerating, under 1500rpm's

Hi. I am having a problem with my 2000EB AWD 5.0. I was on my way home yesterday and noticed a vibration. It is happening if I am giving it gas, and I am under 1500rpm's. If I get to 1500 or above, the vibration stops. The vibration feels like I am driving on rumble strips, only smoother and no noise. I don't think it is the tires, they are new (end of July), had 4 wheel alignment done at the same time, and I don't think I have 1000 miles on them yet. Thanks for any help.

Had a similar problem with our 1996 EB 5.0. Narrowed down and solved the problem by removing 4 oz of fluid from the auto trans and adding 4oz of friction modifier that is normally used in the rear diff. Problem solved for us. I came to this conclusion doing searches in this forum. Look thru my previous postings to see what I learned and if it relates to your issue.

you had what is called convertor shudder.

a fluid change is my recommendation.

'shudder fixx' is an additive you should have used.

It was that...wish I had known about "shudder fixx". Only additive I found during my research was the Ford friction modifier and to use that in the trans.
