Heres a pic, check everything that holds what I wrote in Red. Also shock mounts, and springs.

John,
If you read page 10 you will see the common squeaks and pops, their frequency, Ford's solution etc....

But now you have to check THIS POST that I linked and mentioned in post 40 of this thread.

There are 10 pages to the TSB.
Pictures at the end, pgs 7,8 & 9.

(until it gets found out and taken down too!)

You are Boss!!

I was reading through the tsb last night but couldnt get pics to load.

Printed now and will be going through it hopefully next week.

Anti squeak shim, "Bearing Shim" whatever...
FoMoCo # F6TZ-5D033-BA
It's a strip of UHMW-PE I think.
They fit it between the frame and crossmember before removing the diagnostic wedge.

I'd imagine the "Axle Pivot" is the pivot found in F-250 TTB front suspensions.

ahh so its just some plastic stuff... It looks to be $55 from ford. Is there certain thickness I should get?

Its cheaper to get a small sheet from amazon but they have many different thicknesses. I'd imagine 1/8" would be ok.

I don't think I'd even go 1/16th.
It's just there to stop the metal from rubbing.

I still have the same plastic spacers in my front leaf springs from when my truck was built in 1986.
And they are meant to be between parts that are constantly moving.

sweet!

got me a 12x24" 1/16" sheet from drillspot for $10

Looks to be a fun project, hopefuly I am able to locate the exact rivet. I'd hate having to go through the tranny crossmember and doing the whole tightening procedure.

It's like a creaking/clunking sound with some ticking like it gets snagged on something.

Has this happened to anyone else? I've heard a few local truck with the same noise but they cant figure it out either and neither can the shop. The noise is frustrating as hell
I have a 94 f150 with 200K+ miles and the front end sounds just like you describe. My truck passed PA inspection a couple months ago so I know the inspection station checks front end play. The front end body mounts look bad but I replaced one on the driver's side and didn't cure the noise. I also tightened up the steering to no help.
