I replaced my wiper blades on my 53 with stock from NAPA. It seems the rubber bends over to far and allows the metal frame holding the rubber blade to come in contact with the glass and has scratched it. Is there some other kind of blade that works with the stock arms that would work better than the stock ones and not scratch my windshield?

Since you're buying the blades from NAPA, they cannot be considered the original "stock" wiper blades.
B1T-17528-A .. 10" blade ~ 1948/56 / Ford later replaced B1T-17528-A with A8TZ-17528-A wiper blade that is 12" long.
If you want 12" blades, 1966/77 Bronco's were the newest Ford vehicles to use A8TZ-17528-A
Do the Trico fit on the stock arms? Does the rubber stand up so that the metal does not touch the glass? Mine lay over and allows the metal to touch and do not wipe the water off very good.
They will fit on the stock arms there are two different attachments that came with them one that you can use a screw to put in the arm hole and the other that will click into the arm. Mine stands up I've never had a problem with them scraping the windshield, I've been using them for over 7 years with a few replacements. I also got the Trico arms which fit perfectly I think they were listed for a 64 F-100 or something in the 60s. I don't have the number for the arms though.
If you can find a plastic replacement then you won't have to worry about scratching. In the SW the rubber wiper blades get super hot sitting on the glass the 99% of the time it isn't raining, then when you need them they shred themselves, and you end up with the metal blade holder in contact with the glass. After my first windshield got scratched from that, I always make a point to buy plastic.
Maybe you could get those cool double-blade bright blue ones with LED lights on them?!
