Can someone tell me what wiper arms can be use to replace the stock ones? I replaced my with the original style but they are allowing the wiper blades to lay too much to the side and have put scratches in my windshield.
Just off the top of my head, I know dennis carpenter sells 2 styles. One is supposedly the original style. And then they sell another that is maybe a little more modern (? Trico brand I think). I ordered the original replacement for my truck, and so far so good. But I can see that flex, and yes that frame gets dangerously close to the glass. I'm wondering if the unspoken reason DC offers that other option is this very problem. My windshield was scratched when I got my truck. Possible fixes for that and various products have been discussed here in the past.
Good lookin' ride Pappy,
I just rebuilt my wipers.Used a vice to gently tighten up the joints, and used an exacto knife to cut of the "rib" on a 22" replacement blade and made 2;1- 10" and 1- 11" and slide them into to original stainless wipers.
Cheers

From Carpenter's 2009 printed 1948/56 repro parts truck catalog:
1948/52: A8TZ17526A - No length listed.
1953/56: B2AZ17526A - No length listed.
These are prolly either Trico or Anco replacements since the original Ford parts are obsolete.
If anyone's interested, I found NOS: (1) BD17527A / (3) B2AZ17526A.
