You may have watched this already, but I thought I'd post it just in case. Before I rebuilt mine I watched nearly every video of a C4 I could find on you tube, and I googled and read so many posts from other forums it was crazy. Any way here's the video of the air checks.
Have good vac at modulator and pin is in.and also soaked clutches in atf for about 45 min before installing them.I've been working late days and hope to do an air check tomorrow.
ford blake,I just read your post again and realized you said bands not clutches.I did not soak the bands.something I overlooked.will this cause my problems?
Air check was good on all but one port for reverse/high clutch.I took the pump out and realized i had put the wrong size rings on the pump stator. In the process i was successful in breaking one of the rings that I needed,so I'm in the process of trying to find one.
I know I'm late on this, but glad you got it running it!! Too bad you had to pull it back out though.
I broke one of those rings the first time time trying to put them on too, I broke the teeny tiny part that catches and locks the ring. Now I know how to hook and unhook them, in case if I ever do another one. LOL
