request for door jamb button grommets

If any of you guys have the black rubber grommets that fill the hole in the door jamb where the dome light switch goes, I would like to buy a pair or just one if only one is good. No one reproduces them. Sy at Mid fifty said she would repop them years ago but must have forgotten about it or changed her mind. Mine are real bad, perhaps some of you in nicer climes or from trucks that were not used as hard have some that are in nicer shape and you have or plan on putting the dome light switches in...

Thanks, Abe

I've had good luck working with Steele Rubber's product development group in reproducing obsolete parts..

The 1953/56 truck 7/8" diameter dome lamp switch is the same as 1950/59 Ford Passenger Cars, 1955/60 Thunderbird (B9MF-13713-A).

I found the following in the 1949/59 Ford Passenger Car Parts Catalog:

352291-S .. Plug-Used to cover courtesy/dome lamp switch hole - 7/8" / Obsolete

FAIRLANE FORD in Dearborn MI has 2 = 313-846-5000.

MILLS FORD in Willmar MN has 3 = 320-214-5400.

KOONS STERLING FORD in Sterling VA has 3 = 703-430-7700.

MAX PLATT FORD-LINCOLN in Kendallville IN has 4 = 260-347-3153.

WEAKLEY COUNTY MOTORS in Martin TN has 4 = 731-587-3141.

BILL CURRIE FORD in Tampa FL has 4 = 800-752-8203.

JAY MALLARD FORD-LINCOLN in Jonesboro LA has 19 = 318-259-9881.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 639 = 800-476-9653.

Considering that there are 678 of these gen-u-ine Ford puppies available NOS, who needs repro's?

I've got a pair in my Big Job cab. I'm switching over to dome lamp equipped. If I can get them out without damage, I'll let you know.

Thanks Number Dummy

Thanks to Number Dummy I now have the rubber grommets that fill the hole where the door jamb light switch is intended to go. Bill gave me the numbers of several dealers whose inventory showed they had some in stock.

I got some from Matt Plax Ford in Kendallville, IN. Now my holes are filled with NOS rubber parts!

Thanks, Bill!

Just bought these on ebay... eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
They seem to be of good quality and the size selection is also good for the $.
