Hello
I am trying to locate the drivers side dome light switch, the one that activates the inside light when the drivers door is open. There is an opening on the bottom right hand side of the door sill that is empty but I can see what looks like an empty connector pushed back inside of it, like something was removed(perhaps a swicitch)and the connector pushed in out of the way, is this where the switch is supposed to be? I would have pulled the connector out and shorted the two leads together to see if the light came on, but I wanted to be sure this was it.
I read somewhere here that Ford liked to put the switches in the door hinge assemblies, I know its not that way on the passenger door but could it be so on the drivers side?

My dome light turns on with the headlight switch. I have to twist it all the way 1 way and it comes on. Its headlight/dimmer switch. Maybe mine is wierd.

I wish I could say but the problem is there is no switch present. Though the socket that is still there looks like item 12, but maybe that would fit either switch. I have a pic of the opening and plug but don't see any where here how to post a picture. But the opening is rectangle shaped so guess that would be item 11?? If it matters, the center pin of the three prong plug has 12v on it at all times.
