Holy sheet! I got the outer temp covering off it and its split top and bottom! Wow that is close to engine failure. I need to get another

Yes Y pipe, not welds its cast iron or some cast piece. Up the valley on each side

I just welded it. Took my torches and heated it first then welded

It's back on. Damn surprised myself how fast that was! Helps when bolts don't break or strip and come out. Pretty tight but not as bad as I was imagining

I still didn't to rebuilding the shocks like I wanted to.
Skidoo to do list:
Rebuild front shocks
change idler wheel bearings
change rear springs
Drain fuel and put it away until next year when it decides to be winter

Haha. I hope we get a little winter yet (and you too of course).

Do you have the stuff to rebuild your own shocks? I have never done that or seen it done.
