SPD y pipe installation

When installing the SPD y pipe, is it necessary to remove the y pipe.

The bolts are rusted badly. It would be much easier for me to just cut and weld in place.

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback

U just cut and weld in place be carefull not to cut to much though we took a little bit at a time till it fit perfect then weld her up
