Not enough info provided....the 6.9 N/A and the 7.3 N/A should use the same pump. Not sure if the 6.9 N/A will transverse to the 7.3 turbo though.
Easy enough. Three exterior nuts holding the flange to the mounting on the drive cover. Then, three 12-point (1/4 or 3/16th's, if I remember right) under the small round cover on the front of the drive. Those hold it to the gear. The gear and the FI pump mesh together with a keyway, so, as long as they slide together, it is timed.
Take off all the fuel lines at the injectors. Leave the fuel lines that go to the injectors on the pump. Take off the input fitting on the end of the FI pump (It needs to slide back and it hits the intake manifold) Take off the three nuts (The one closest to the passenger side is a b***h. Grinding a 9/16th wrench thinner on both the box and the open end seem to help. Three bolts under the front cover. Remove the pump. Swap the fuel injector lines from the old to the new. Reverse the process.
Oh, and there should be a small mark on your pump, and a small mark on the drive flange. That is where the 'static time' mark is. It gets you in the ballpark of where it should end up as far as being 8.5 degree before TDC as far as the advance timing is concerned.
Then, three 12-point (1/4 or 3/16th's, if I remember right) under the small round cover on the front of the drive.
I just changed the injector pump on mine, these bolts he's talking about here are a 5/16" 12 point bolt head. International specs say to tighten these to 25ft-lbs. when installing a pump.
