Installing new Injector Pump this weekend, need help!!
I'm going to try and install a new injector pump in my 92 F-250 idi. Is there anything that i have to know or be cautious of? Don't you have to time the pump? Any and all information on doing this job will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

If you do it carefully you will not have to time it. The recommended way is, undo the high pressure pipes at the injectors, undo the fuel return pipe, undo the fuel feed pipe, undo the bolts holding the pump to the housing, remove the plate on the front of the housing and remove the bolts holding the drive gear on to the pump. Pull pump back and out angling it slightly upwards as it comes out. You will notice that there is a peg on the pump drive flange which lines up with a hole in the drive gear. When you have the injector lines transfered to the new pump just slide the new pump into position making sure to line up the peg with the hole in the gear. Then bolt everything up. there should be a scribe mark on the housing and on the pump, line these up before you finally tighten the pump mounting bolts. Bleed the system and you should be good to go. It can be a real PITA getting at the pump mounting bolts but other than that it is not too bad. Good luck.
