Strange request for info
Hi everyone, I had a new exhaust system installed with ceramic coated headers, cat, mufflers and pipe in the stock location and configuration. The engine is a 95, 302 with automatic. My problem is that I told the muffler shop that I would like it fairly quiet like stock, but it's not as quiet as I hoped. Is ther anything I can do to get it quieter short of replacing the muffler again? I was thinking of wrapping the exhaust pipe and muffler after the cat to see if that would help. Any thoughts?

Yup, first things to know are what muffler, the measurements (A part number would be great) and the pipe size. Next, are you worried more about the sound inside being near stock or at the tailpipe as well? For both I'd say an 18" or longer case length Dynomax Super Turbo so you at least get some extra flow to go with the rest of the upgrades.

didnt think of this last night, but i would look into installing race car collector baffles if you can.
