You will be just fine with your stock pipes and a flowmaster muffler. Be sure that you get the right muffler to fit your pipe. should be 2 1/2" pipe and measure your stock muffler to see how long it is. You may need to trim or add a little bit of pipe to your stock exhaust system.

Putting a flowmaster in the stock piping sounds like a good idea. I once had a supposedly reputable (ha, ha, how's that for weasel words) muffler shop tell me that on the 300 I6 engine, you could get 95 percent the benefits of an entire cat back exhaust system just by replacing the muffler. Try it; if you don't like it you can always get the extra piping and add it in. Let us know how it turns out.
