I pulled an icr off my other 7.3 and my truck runs just fine I was just asking if there was anything I could do to the old one off my truck that is messed up to try to save it before I buy a new icr

Not that I know of. If you got all the little parts inside there freed up then I guess it could be bad, but not sure how or why. I can really remember how many parts there where to it but I think it was like 5 or 6.
