I know I give the same advice everytime i see someone saying this but it might be it.
here is one thing it could be.........
IPR maybe? mine died going down the road one day and long story short the IPR was dirty. Took it out and apart and cleaned it suck it back in and running ever since (year or two). Same thing though mine would crank and not fire. Stealership tried to tell me the HPOP was bad and would get it going again for around 2k. I spent about 30min and a partial can of brake cleaner

The truck is mine i dont have acess to the internet so my buddy posed on here for me. i got up about 5:30 went out the the barn started the truck let er warm up. Been snowing like hell all night pulled out of the barn and had to go through a 5 foot tall snow drift truck kinda acted like it had now power. got through the drift and started running up and down the drive knocking drifts down truck ran fine. shut the barn up went inside and when i came out it sounded like it was missing like crazy. wouldnt hardly idle so i went ahead and limped it to work. whiled driving had to keep it about 2500 rpm or it wouldnt pull itself. if i floored it my egts would start to go up while driving egts were 900 degrees normally 600 when truck is running fine and i can never get them above 1200 degrees without a trailer. well today when i stepped on it egts would run up over 1200 degrees like it was nothing. got to work shut truck off started it back up it ran perfected reved it up 3 or 4 times and it died and have not been able to get it to start since. new fuel filter, new grey cps, checked all fuses i checked codes with my superchips programmer and the only codes were glow plug codes. after the truck died at work i cranked on it and the tack jumped up to about 2 or 3 hundred rpms i pulled the truck in the shop to let it dry out thinking i might have gotten snow packed in a wiring and something was shorted out. unplugged icp still no start.

Not always. The clip on the plug outside the valve cover is broken on my truck. I have knocked it loose once or twice while doing other things to my truck and it won't start when that happens.
You were getting high EGTs because the driver's side injectors were dumping fuel to keep the truck moving.
Pull the valve cover and have a look. Check the plug outside the valve cover too. Should be blue and black.

If your passenger side under valve cover harness came loose then your Service Engine Soon light should have come on and there should be codes (P1316 at a minimum). What are you using to read your codes?

My chart doesn't show a P1216. P1316 would be indicate that IDM codes are present and it won't come back until you get your engine started again. The Superchips programmer won't be able to read the engine specific codes unfortunately. You will need a better scan tool to properly read the codes.
At this point everything you said points to a loose valve cover harness under the passenger side valve cover. I'd start there unless you are able to find a proper code reader and see what DTCs are present.
