Ok I located the PCM by the emergency brake. I removed the two 7 mm bolts holding it on and I couldn't pull it out. Do you have to pull hard? I need to remove so I can retrieve the PCM code. Also should I disconnect the battery before removing the PCM or does it not matter? Thanks, John
The main plug has to be removed from the PCM which is on the opposite side of the firewall in the engine compartment. There is one bolt (8 or 10mm socket I believe) that holds the weather pack plug onto the PCM. That bolt has to be removed in order to pull the PCM.
I got it. Buddy had a SCT Livewire hooked it up and retrieved it for me. Thanks for the help though. Now to get in on the Group Buy for a SCT X3! Much appreciated, John
The first time is always the hardest. Once you get a tune installed I'm sure you will find the effort was worth it.
I am sure it will be worth it. I have sat on the fence about ordering one for over a year now. Mine is on the way today, don't think I will wait till Christmas to open it either. Rep points on the way dfk.
