how do you change a pcv valve on a 1995 5.8? is it possible with out removing the upper intake? thanks for any help

 

It's in a grommet on top of the right-side valve cover way at the back. You can't see it without a mirror but you can just run your hand up under there and pull it out and replace it. The vac hose goes to a fitting on the back of the upper intake.

 

Its a SIMPLE thing to do....

As Jas has said, passenger side, rear on the valve cover... Just feel along the bottom the intake, and you'll find it....Simply put the old one out, swap the hose to the new one, and push said new one back into the grommet....

 

Its really not hard just a bit tricky. I reach it with my left hand. Then fish it out from the back of the intake. I'd use a Motorcraft PCV. I think its an EV111.
