His discount did not beat Riffraff's price though, but was close enough to make me happy.
Its ok....

No worries, just giving him a hard time. Sounds like you have had an expensive year between the wife and truck.

Just saying...anyone that's spent much time with a 6.0L knows you can't get off on the cheap with 'em. And it sounds like your wife feels the same way when it comes to her "well being".

Just got my AE the other day too. Clay, sorry I did not buy from you as I see you are a "Premium Sponsor." I would have if I had known. I wish someone would have mentioned it.

There definitely is a learning curve for the AE. Wish they had a simulator. Anyways, plugged the EGR valve back in and cleared the codes. There is a "boing" coming from the engine compartment, left hand side when I clear the codes. Hope this is normal?

Going to drive the truck today to see if I can get any codes to show up. Haven't cleaned the EGR yet but I am going to. Looking for codes first. All help would be greatly appreciated.

No problem, I understand. The noise is probably your ABS unit actuating when the codes are cleared.

After plugging the EGR back in and clearing the codes, here are the new DTC codes:

<TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 borderColor=#bebbbb cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center><TBODY><TR><TD width=750 align=left>P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Range / Performance </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 borderColor=#bebbbb cellPadding=2 width=750 align=center><TBODY><TR><TD width=750 align=left>P1000 OBD Systems Readiness Test Not Complete

For the EGR I am going to take it out and clean it. After that can I use the "Actuation" to test the EGR or some other method? Of course being new to AE I don't know how to do this yet. I did some searches, but no luck. Also, how do you tell if the specs are okay?
</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I have been ignoring the Systems Readiness Test code for now.

yes try and clean EGR valve but it may just need to be replaced

the other p1000 code will not go away untill you get this egr valve thing fixed

Im shure theres a test for egr valve preformance but IDK it I do know that the PCM watches EBP and IAT to determine regulation of the egr valve

You could PM Cheezit or Mchane on this and see what all is involved with a comanded test of the egr valve

Just dont get cleaner into the weep holes of the egr valve

and if that fails just replace it
