Accelerator sticks on '87 F150
The accelerator is sticking on my '87 F150, V6. I've been told it's the throttle housing, I've been quoted $450 plus labor for a new one, unless I can find one in a junkyard, or other source. Any experience out there with this? Can the existing one be rebuilt? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

V-6s are extremely rare in F-series - are you sure it's not a straight 6? What's the 8th digit of your VIN?
It's not hard to change the throttle body yourself, but you can diagnose it by just popping the cable off & seeing if it still hangs. If not, it's more likely the $30 cable.
