Shift point changed after tune
I've been running a 87perf tune from 5 star tuning on my 2001 F250 SD V-10 for about 7 months now. I am happy with the performance gains and have even seen a 1-2 mpg increase. There is one issue that has bothered me though. On easy acceleration the truck shifts thru the gears with no issues; but on slightly more aggressive acceleration, the truck shifts from 3rd to 4th almost immediately. I've pretty much lost third gear. It only happens between those two shifts; it doesn't do this with the stock tune or with the 87 tow tune installed. I called Mike and he says it has to be the torque converter staying locked up. Why wouldn't it do it any other time. Please help!!![/COLOR][/COLOR]

I downloaded the stock program back in the truck today, and it shifts normal. Even under hard acceleration. I tried it several times and it continued to shift fine. I think I'm going to leave the stock tune in the truck unless I can get this fixed. FRUSTRATED!!!!

Contact Mike again and explain your problem, and DEFINITELY mention that you put the stock tune back and it's fine.
My '01 with Mike's 87 perf tune doesn't do what yours does, so either the tune is different, or the tune is waking up some problem in your trans.
