white/blue smoke

I have a 2008 Super Duty that smokes every once in awhile. It has been going through exhaust cleaning cycles more frequently before i get this. Dealer says this is normal. There is also a strong kerosene smell associated with the smoke. Any ideas? does anyone else have this issue? I was going to post a pic but it won't let me.

Thanks

side topic.. FTE enforces rules on posting pics.. unless u are a paid supporter, you cannot post pics directly..(see the Go Premium! link on the top blue bar on the FTE page)..

Otherwise you must upload them somewhere else (photobucket, gallery, garage), and then link to them for each pic

So what were the regen intervals before and what are they now?

Any overboost conditions?

Tail pipes..clean or dirty or wet?

Senix,
very slight soot on tailpipes. Regen cycled about 3 times in 40 miles between last night and this morning. Normal driving conditions. Highway driving to and from work.

Thanks

At this point hard to say. cycled three times..are you sure it was completed each time?

What kind of fuel..burning any bio?

How long till next fill up and do you always get the fuel from the same location?

I guess I don't know if it completed the cycle(s). I get my fuel from the same truck stop just off I-80 and I believe that they have 10% Bio mixed in. I will probably fill up again next week.

Thank-you for your help!
Scott

Motor is only rated for 5% bio. It is hard on the emissions systems as well.

Hope you are following the severe maint schedule too.

You should try to verified the % of bio if possible.

Might shop around.

My regens are around 10 miles in duration. I'd suggest the next one that run it and watch it if possible. Try to go thru the screens to see if you can figure out if it completes.

I agree with Senix , They have some fuel stations that advertise Bio-Free fuel an online search could also tell you which stations run Bio-free. (In Louisiana anyways). I drive an extra 15 mins to get Bio-Free diesel.
