2003 SD trans trouble please advise
I have a 2003 Super Duty and the Check engine light came on and the "off" on the over drive started flashing.
I hade the codes checked and it has a "P1744" transmission slippage detected and a "PO743" ICC circuit condition.
It sounds like the ICC solenoid does not have a complete circuit for some reason.
The transmision seems to be operating OK but it does seem to have a harsh 2 to 3 shift part of the time.
I am sitting in a Motel room 1100 miles from home. My question is should I get this fixed before I head home?

That's TCC, not ICC. The slippage code is a result of the solenoid circuit being bad. It's safe to drive it home as long as you're not towing. The trans will run hotter than normal because the converter isn't locked, but as long as you're not at max load it will be fine.

I went ahead and drove the truck the 1100 miles home without a problem. Everything functioned normal except slightly harsh shifts.Marks advise saved me a lot of money and time, thanks again.
