I actually couldn't get the resistor back in with the foil on it without tearing the foil, so I just cut a penny slightly smaller than the resistor plate and wrapped that...worked great.
Just know that the resistor saves the actuator from burning up if the button is pressed and held down. If you have pets you leave in the truck that like to stand on the buttons, you may want to get some of those "protectors" to put over the lock button...someone on the site makes and sells them - just a bent piece of lexan or similar that slips in and stops the button from being pushed by paws.
last week I posted this thread to try and locate this part. ExxWhy said maybe it was a stone deflector but when i called ford they said that stone deflector was part of a mudguard. (figure) Or 4 is part of 3 But as you can see my truck ain't got no mud guards. I don't want it to look like it's missing 4
Looks like it right? I'll buy it as long as it don't look like it's missing the mud guard.
. I went to the yard but didnt really find any exs. Found a wrecked f350 but it had mud guards no deflectors.. Any help would be very appreciated.
Seems like that's the only website with this item thou.
I'm showing (possibly) part number: 292A22, "(MOULDING - XLT - BODY SIDE LOWER) XLT; LH - Black (Left)"
Yes, that's it... I'm gonna order both sides. I recently west to a junk yard and I was surprised that they didn't have no ex or f250's. I didn't know what to make of it.
