Leaky Injector Pump?

This morning when I started up the truck, I noticed fuel dripping under the engine. The pan under the IP was all wet. I presume it was leaking to the rear and down the drain. I crawled over the engine with it running but could not find anything leaking. I looked again under the truck and it stopped.
Hope you guys can help me with this one. Can't tell if it's the IP because it stopped. This has done this before.
Thanks
Tom

If all the return and supply lines are dry then it may be the ip. There may be a weep hole in the bottom of the pump to keep fuel out of the crankcase if the seal on the pump fails

try to feel around the IP and the bottom of it. if it is wet and all lines going to and from it are dry then you get to buy a new IP.

I'll have to try that. The thing that puzzles me is it only happens once in a while. If it was constant, it would be a lot easier to troubleshoot.
Thanks for the help from you and the others

IIRC there is an o-ring in the pump head that likes to fail and leak.

I don't believe I would just buy an IP just because I could feel a wet spot on it, as any liquid gets blown around in funny ways when you are driving. I would clean it all good and make sure everything is dry, and then try to catch it leaking.

Update..The other morning it was running fuel out on the drive. I got up on the engine with a flashlight and saw fuel running off the bottom of the IP. Do you think because I have been running 100% bio-diesel for the last 2 years that the seals have failed? Guess I'll start looking for a IP and a timing meter.
Thanks for the help

I do believe bio-diesel is a little more harder on seals.
