Will a y-block bellhousing bolt to an np435 or t18 transmission? Or was the T98 all that'll work?
Sam
Howdy,
I don't think a T-18 will bolt to a Y Bell.
The T-98 is nearly identical to a T-98 though, why not just use the T-98?
Where are you in W Wa? I have a good condition T-98 and 2 Bell housings btw!! (resurfaced flywheel, new clutch, pressure plate, throwout and pilot bearings too!! )
I am going to use a 292 in my truck. It had a T-98 and I was going to use it so I bough t a new clutch/plate, resurfaced the flywheel etc and decided to use the Automatic I have.
If you decide to go to a Y, you'll LOVE it. They sound great and are more than powerful enough for most of what I do.
I have Rams Horns for mine and a 4bbl carb. I expect it to run great!
You won't have any problem finding one if you decide to use one!
