Pretty straight forward, getting the trans out of the way is the biggest challenge....
remove-drive shaft, trans, clutch linkage, starter, bellhousing, pressure plate. Removing pressure plate will drop friction plate. Remove flywheel then pilot bearing in back of crank. Reverse order with all new/refurbished parts. When you bolt up the new pressure plate, use a clutch aligning tool to hold the friction plate in place while you tighten the plate.
With an FE,you don't have to remove the bell housing,but I've done it both ways. I will say I find it easier to jack up the rear instead of the front to remove the trans. Plus your engine stays better balanced while your working on it. And also ,your trans comes off and goes back on easier.Your not having to work up hill..lol My 2 cents
