Coolant Change
Anyone have any tips on coolant change on a V10? There is no radiator cap. So what are the filling proceedures on these things and how do you get all the air out of the system? I have the shop manual but I did not see any details in there about it.

Definately flush and change every 5 years no matter what the 100k usage says. Most Ford dealers have the radiator flush machine with the heated water and then will fill with new coolant. I think it's a very good flush setup.

Does that catch tank at the top take the pressure of the radiator when it is hot? I think I will just drain everything and replace with fresh antifreeze. The flush sounds like more trouble than it is worth and leaving non-distilled water in there contributes to scale formation.

I prefer the cap on the radiator myself mainly so I can look down and see if the radiator core has scale on it or not. But the newer setup works fine.
