It's time to have the coolant changed in my X. Is there any special procedure I should know about, or is it just drain, flush and fill? What is the best way to flush out the system, and what type of coolant is recommended for the change?
Try to flush the whole system including the auxiliary heater also. The length of heater line back and the aux heater core will hold about a gallon.
NOTE: If you live in cold climate regions this would be a good time to install a block heater. I installed one but it's not required in my area. My vehicle is out side all the time and it's nice to have a fast warm up when it's 15 degrees.
